Day 2 – Tip 2: Stretch Out A Bit
The holidays are a busy time of year, and getting caught up in the hustle and bustle can be easy. Between shopping, cooking, and entertaining, it’s easy to let stress get the best of you. But there are things you can do to help relieve holiday stress.
One of the best things you can do is take some time out. Set aside a few minutes each day to do some stretches or take a relaxing bath. This will help to rejuvenate your body and mind, and you’ll be better able to handle the stress of the holiday season.
Engage in physical activity. Physical exercise is an excellent stress-buster. Wrap up warm and go for a winter walk, or try a workout routine. Exercise releases endorphins, which improve mood and reduce stress hormone levels.
Transform your bathroom into a soothing spa oasis and create a personal spa experience. Use lights and scented candles, play calming music, and take a warm bath infused with essential oils. Pamper yourself with a face mask, body scrub, and relaxing soak to relieve stress and rejuvenate your body.
Explore the outdoors. Nature has a calming effect on the mind and body. Take a winter hike, go ice skating, or have a picnic in a nearby park. Fresh air, natural surroundings, and physical activity can help alleviate stress and anxiety.
Prioritise self-care. Finally, remember to prioritise self-care during the Christmas season. Get enough sleep, maintain a balanced diet, and engage in activities that bring you joy. Setting boundaries and taking time for yourself is essential for managing stress effectively.
